I have drawn in pen and ink most of my life. I love drawing the lines, contours and small details of natural forms and everyday objects around me. I find drawing totally absorbing, almost meditative, and I can easily lose myself in the activity.
Early on
I studied art and education at Bath Spa University College and developed an interest in pen and ink drawing. I have dabbled in ceramics, pottery and printing of various kinds but it is drawing that I always return to. I create original art pieces as well as using my designs to decorate functional everyday homeware products .
Current
I take part in art events to connect with customers, galleries and my fellow creatives. I use local and well established companies to transform my drawings and doodles in to a variety of products. I am based on the edge of the Pennine hills in Yorkshire and combine my art work with my outdoor therapy business. http://www.elainethelier.co.uk
